Life - don't miss it!
Are you living your life or missing your life?
Ask yourself which of the following do you do too much of?
- Sleeping in long hours
- Drinking alcohol
- Drinking coffee
- Watching TV
- Talking on the phone
- Texting
- Checking or sending emails
- Web surfing
- Engaging on internet social networks
- Whingeing and whining about anything and everything
- Gossiping and stirring up trouble
- Rushing from one thing to the next
- Getting "caught up" and never finishing
- Taking care of everyone else but not yourself
These distractions and daily detours take us away from living our lives. When done to excess they make it easy to cop out and avoid making necessary changes, lose real connection with those close to us and allow us to tolerate the things that we really don’t want to tolerate.
We all know that life has an expiry date and that we only get one go at it. So back off on how much time you “waste” with these life stealing actions and start making more of the precious time that you have left.
“Don’t take life too seriously. You won’t get out of it alive” – Elbert Hubbard
